Do I have time for this?

Or maybe more to the point--do you have time for this? I have a lot of friends who write really terrific blogs, and I try to read them. So I thought: maybe I should try my hand at this blogging thing. But what do I have to offer? I used to have a website that my former students found useful for refreshing their syllabi with new books. So there's that. I'm also a LOT better at thinking up new teaching ideas than I am at actually implementing them, so there's that as well. And I also make up recipes, so maybe there's that as well. Maybe. And finally, there are things I care deeply about but don't necessarily share in my college classroom that people might find useful--namely, how to read contemporary children's and young adult books through the eyes of faith. Hmmm. That's an interesting thought that deserves its own post. So maybe I should MAKE time for this. Here goes...
